Holme Valley u3a started in 2014 and now has nearly fifty activity groups . We cover the villages of the Holme Valley in West Yorkshire , with most of our members and activities in and around Holmfirth .

What is u3a?

Retired and semi-retired people come together and learn together, not for qualifications but for the sheer joy of discovery. Members share their skills and life experiences: the learners teach and the teachers learn, and there is no distinction between them.

All our members can attend the monthly meetings.These are held on the second Tuesday of each month, at the Civic, Huddersfield Road, Holmfirth at 10.00am . You can meet committee members and find out more about the groups on offer. Enjoy a cup of tea followed by an entertaining talk. Visitors are welcome to try out the monthly meetings and can join our u3a there.
