Most of the day to day practical arrangements of Holme Valley u3a are looked after by the elected committee. Members of the committee are also trustees, so they have obligations to make sure we all respect the https://www.u3a.org.uk ethos.
The committee meets once a month, usually on the fourth Friday, timed to help us prepare for the Tuesday all-member meeting. We welcome ideas and suggestions, so if you have any please share them with any committee member. We have reports on finance, membership and progress with setting up groups.
It has recently come to the committee's attention that, due to an administrative oversight, our new constitution has not yet been lodged with the Charity Commission. We have been in touch with the U3a Trust who have explained that this can be remedied. They have also assured us that we can continue running just as we have been; there is no need to make any changes to our normal activities.
