• The boules group normally meets weekly from 2-3pm on Wednesdays at the boules court adjacent to the village hall in Honley. With the exception of a winter break, the group meets year round. We have some spare equipment for use by  new members wishing to try their hand at the game. Boules, or pétanque, is the French version of bowls, played by throwing metal balls at a small wooden jack known as a cochonet. Play may be individual or in teams. The group is characterised by a healthy mix of competition and cameraderie, and is keen to welcome new members.
